We notice the leadlight before you mention it
Chatswood Window Tinting fits window film to houses, apartments and offices from Chatswood to Hornsby. The job is always the same shape: keep the glass, change what comes through it.
What we do
The back of the house is where film does the most: the sliding doors, the glass pavilion and the skylight that make a renovated room hot in summer and fade whatever sits in the light. Film cuts the heat, the glare and the fading without changing the view.
At the front we fit low-reflective and privacy film to original windows, so the house looks the same from the street. We also do apartments, and offices and practices around the North Shore's towers.
The film we fit is 3M. No job is too small: a single sidelight gets the same care as a pavilion.
How we work
- Every pane is measured and written into a schedule before anything is quoted.
- Film is chosen pane by pane, never one film for the whole house.
- Most film goes on the inside face of the glass; anti-graffiti film on a shopfront goes on the outside. Edges are trimmed clean, and film can be removed later.
- The quote is written, and lists the panes and the film for each.
What we will not do
Promise film on leadlight
Not before we have seen the glass. Some leaded panes are better left alone, and we will say so.
Tell you council has approved it
That is council's call. On a listed house, or one in a conservation area, ask them before the front changes.
Quote a house we have not measured
The price comes from your panes, so we measure them first.
Tint cars
We do houses, apartments and offices, and nothing else.
