What office tint is for
Heat and glare. The east or west face that warms the desks by mid-morning or mid-afternoon, and the screens staff keep turning. Each window gets its own tint, from clear to medium, so the dark film goes only where the sun does.
Fading. Tint slows the fading of carpet, furniture and whatever sits in the reception window. Sunlight and heat fade things as well as UV, so nothing stops it entirely.
Privacy. A ground-floor office or consulting room the footpath can see into. Reflective tint keeps people from seeing in while it is brighter outside than in; after dark, with the lights on, the view reverses, so a room used in the evening may want frost instead.
The schedule is written floor by floor: every window a screen faces, then every meeting room wall and glass door. The building manager's rules go on it too, and install timing is agreed with you before the job is booked.
